Fair Trade

Fair Trade for Farmers and Workers Around the World

In 2006, Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps committed to sourcing our major raw materials – over 95% of our annual agricultural volume – from certified Fair Trade projects around the world that ensure fair prices, living wages and community benefits for farmers, workers and their families.

Our ingredients are certified as Fair Trade by IMO’s Fair For Life certification.

In addition to certifying our products as Fair Trade, we share our resources to support Fair Trade advocacy, to grow and strengthen the movement for fair wages, and to achieve the just treatment of farmers and workers around the world. Check out the right sidebar to see some of the Fair Trade advocacy projects that we support.

We are also proud members of the following Fair Trade advocacy organizations:

The Fair World Project (FWP) seeks to protect the use of the term “Fair Trade” in the marketplace, to expand markets for authentic Fair Trade, to educate consumers about key issues in trade and agriculture, to advocate for policies leading to a just economy, and to facilitate collaborative relationships to create true systemic change.
