VISTA, CA – Dr. Bronner’s, family owned maker of the top-selling natural brand of soap in North America, is proud to be the title sponsor of the 100 Wave Challenge Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Mission Beach, to benefit fundraising efforts for Boys to Men Mentoring Network. The company has long financially supported the Boys to Men Mentoring Network, which seeks to guide and support at-risk and fatherless boys on their journey to manhood. By sponsoring this event, and providing free product samples to attendees at its booth on site, the company hopes to attract more participants to the 100 Wave Challenge, and raise awareness and support for the Boys to Men Mentoring Network’s important work.

The purpose of the 100 Wave Challenge is to inspire each surfer to raise $1,000 for Boys to Men Mentoring Network and catch 100 waves in one day. Those who succeed are invited to celebrate by ringing a bell located near the entrance of the Surfers Lounge. The 100 Wave Challenge is the main funding source for Boys to Men Mentoring Network. The annual surf-a-thon accounts for 40 percent of Boys to Men’s annual budget. The event brought in $373,000 last year. This year’s fundraising goal is $400,000. Boys to Men aims to sign up 200 surfers for this year’s event, compared to 171 in 2017.
