Dr. Bronner’s Announces Promotion of Two Department Directors to Vice President Positions
Top-Selling Brand Appoints Christina Volgyesi to Vice President of Marketing, and Sharla Pierick to Vice President of Finance

VISTA, CA – Dr. Bronner’s, family owned maker of the top-selling natural brand of soap in North America, is pleased to announce the promotion of Christina Volgyesi to Vice President of Marketing, and Sharla Pierick to Vice President of Finance. Having worked with Dr. Bronner’s since 2010 and 2006 respectively, Volgyesi’s and Pierick’s tenure has been pivotal to the growth of the company, including the expansion of Dr. Bronner’s sales internationally; the introduction of 4 new products including Virgin Coconut Oil, Magic Balms, Toothpaste, and Peppermint Organic Hand Sanitizer; continued commitment to consumer education and advocacy campaigns; expansion of Dr. Bronner’s manufacturing facility; significant increase of the number of Dr. Bronner’s employees; and managing the growth of its philanthropic and activist mission. With their help, all this and much more has been achieved without the company taking on any outside equity, and while maintaining Dr. Bronner’s as 100% family owned.
Christina Volgyesi, Vice President of Marketing began working with Dr. Bronner’s in 2010, after having formerly co-founded and served as President of the hemp food company Living Harvest. Christina formally established Dr. Bronner’s marketing department, currently oversees a staff of twelve, and works closely with sales, PR, quality assurance, special operations, other departments, and Dr. Bronner’s executive team to shape brand strategy, develop new products, and ensure mission alignment. With her leadership, Dr. Bronner’s developed key cause-marketing and consumer education campaigns, including Hemp History Week, Fair Pay Today, and Heal Earth and updated its iconic labels and branding in 2015. She has played a key role in the creation and production of the company’s annual All-One Report, Dr. Bronner’s version of a corporate social responsibility report. Sharla Pierick, Vice President of Finance began working with Dr. Bronner’s officially as an employee in 2010, having consulted with the company since 2006. A graduate from University of California Irvine with an MBA in Finance and Accounting, her expertise has led the company’s redevelopment and expansion of the company’s financial reporting and accounting systems. Active in her community, Sharla has served on the board of directors for the San Diego Soccer Club, and Bronco Youth Basketball League; and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs in the peaceful Highland Valley area of San Diego county.
