Prospera is a nonprofit organization that works in rural Panama to reduce the impacts of disease exacerbated by the tropical environment, lack of access to medical care, or the ability to afford better nutrition or medications. Through soap recycling, Prospera provides competitive wages for decent work, reduces illnesses and ailments derived from the expanded use of soap, promotes health education in schools and medical access among vulnerable populations through the support of the local health posts.
Dr. Bronner’s Panama supports Prospera in their mission to use soap recycling to develop and support sustainable projects that promote health education, family stability, community development, and better access to healthcare.
