In November, I had the honor of speaking to a room full of Project Green Challenge finalists. This is an inspiring group of high school and college students from all over the US, who have all completed a grueling month of “green” challenges and have been selected as finalists for their tremendous efforts and creativity in completing the challenges.
I’m already hearing some, “Gee, Thanks” from the kids. However, herein lies one of the biggest perks for me with DIY house cleaning: not only are most homemade green cleaners safe to use around children, it is also safe for children to use. Prior to my switch to natural house cleaners, my house cleaning was more of a covert operation.
